Terms of service
These terms govern your use of medifisys.com. The most important thing in them is section three: Medifisys arranges and coordinates care, it does not provide it.
Last updated 2 September 2026
1. What Medifisys is
Medifisys operates a marketplace that connects patients with hospitals, surgeons, travel providers, equipment vendors and licensed pharmacies. We facilitate discovery, booking, payment and coordination.
We are not a healthcare provider, an insurer, a travel agency of record, or a pharmacy. Each of those functions is performed by the relevant partner, under the licence and regulatory regime of the country in which they operate.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account and you are responsible for the accuracy of the information on it. Booking partners rely on your name, contact details and country of residence to admit you, meet you at an airport and reach you in an emergency.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
3. Clinical responsibility and liability
Clinical care — including assessment, consent, the procedure itself, aftercare and the handling of complications — is provided by the treating hospital and the treating clinician. They hold the clinical responsibility for it and are subject to the medical regulation and law of the country where treatment takes place.
Medifisys does not practise medicine, does not employ the clinicians on this platform, and cannot and does not accept clinical liability. We state this plainly rather than in small print because it should form part of your decision.
What Medifisys is responsible for is the accuracy of what we publish about a partner and the coordination we promise. We are not party to the payment you make to a hospital and hold no funds of yours at any point. If we get one of those wrong, that is ours.
4. Prices, quotations and payment
Listed prices are package prices supplied by the partner. They are indicative until the partner has reviewed your records and confirmed the price in writing.
Medifisys does not take payment for treatment, travel or products, and never holds your money. Sending a request through this platform charges you nothing. Each provider invoices and collects from you directly, under a contract between you and them.
- If the hospital's written quotation differs from the listed price, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
- The comparison price shown beside a listing is a typical private-pay price for the same procedure in a high-cost market. It is indicative, varies widely by payer, and is not a quotation from any named provider.
- Currency conversion, card fees and cross-border charges levied by your own bank are outside our control.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel for a full refund at any time before the hospital confirms your treatment date in writing. After that point, the hospital's published cancellation terms apply, and they are shown on your journey page.
Travel and product items follow each vendor's own policy, which is displayed before you add the item to your cart. Prescription medicines and opened sterile goods are not returnable.
6. Reviews and conduct
Reviews may only be written against a completed booking made through Medifisys. We do not remove, reorder, weight or hide reviews on request. Partners may publish a response; they cannot edit or suppress the review itself.
We will remove content that identifies a third party's medical information, is unlawful, or is demonstrably fabricated. That is the entire list.
7. Partner obligations
Partners warrant that their accreditation, licensing and published volumes are accurate and current, and that their package definitions are honoured for any booking accepted under them.
A lapsed accreditation removes the corresponding badge automatically and suspends any paid placement. Repeated misrepresentation ends the partnership.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email at least fourteen days before they take effect, and bookings already made are governed by the terms in force when they were made.
This document is written to be read, not to be survived. If any part of it is unclear, ask us at our contact page and we will explain it and, if it is genuinely unclear, rewrite it.
